From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative including angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in influence within the urban setting.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of characters who will separate from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the group knows exactly where to head next after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death started the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, attacking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
- The strong character and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their position as key figures in the powerful family could assist the group reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, Teor swore a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This results in them little choice but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.
